Dukugi Solar Hybrid Mini-Grid Project
Technical leadership for the deployment of a solar hybrid mini-grid system in Dukugi, Niger State, covering generation-site construction, battery storage integration, LV distribution network development, customer connections, smart metering and commissioning activities.
Engineering Scope
Technical work and responsibilities
Lead generation-site implementation including site layout, PV structure installation, PV module installation, PVDB and LVSG installation, cable routing and electrical equipment integration.
Supervise installation of Alpha BESS cabinet, PCS, diesel generator, DC/AC cabling, industrial earthing and lightning protection systems.
Coordinate electrical testing activities including insulation resistance, continuity, polarity, voltage verification and earth resistance testing.
Lead LV distribution network deployment including pole erection, conductor stringing, pole accessories, customer connections and metering activities.
Coordinate customer wiring, smart meter installation, documentation, quality checks and commissioning readiness.
Support technical handover and ensure completed works comply with engineering and safety requirements.
Delivery Outcomes
Verified project results
Delivered a 145 kWp solar hybrid mini-grid system supporting approximately 340 customers including productive-use users.
Successfully coordinated generation, distribution and customer connection activities from construction through commissioning.
Supported deployment of LV distribution infrastructure including 200+ poles and customer connection systems.
Improved project execution quality through direct field supervision, testing and technical coordination.
